HFI – WHO ARE WE & WHY ARE WE HERE?

Welcome to HFI Energy Systems US Inc, the exclusive U.S. licensee of cutting-edge technology developed by Hydrogen Future Industries PLC (HFI), a UK-based leader in sustainable energy innovation. HFI USA are located in Whitehall, Montana.

OUR VISION

HFI Energy Systems is at the forefront of the global transition to clean energy. Our mission is to revolutionize energy production by combining next-generation wind turbine technology with groundbreaking hydrogen production systems.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

ADVANCED WIND TURBINE DESIGN

The HFI ducted wind turbine is a revolutionary advancement in renewable energy. Unlike traditional open rotor turbines, it features a bi-cowling design that enhances wind velocity as it flows through the turbine. This innovation, perfected through over 15,000 hours of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind tunnel testing, results in a power output that is up to 395% greater than conventional designs.

Cowling-Enhanced Efficiency: By accelerating airflow through a narrowed duct, the turbine maximizes wind energy capture.

Noise Reduction and Wildlife Safety: The enclosed rotor design minimizes noise pollution and enhances safety for birds and local wildlife.

Dynamic Telescopic Tower: This automated system allows the turbine to adjust its height for optimal performance and easy maintenance, reducing costs and enhancing operational safety.

THE SMART HYDRAULIC DRIVE (SHD) SYSTEM

At the core of HFI's technology lies the patented Smart Hydraulic Drive (SHD), which replaces traditional mechanical gearboxes to deliver unmatched efficiency and versatility.

Operational Flexibility: The SHD operates efficiently across a wide range of wind speeds (from 2 m/s to 25 m/s), ensuring consistent energy generation even in variable conditions.

Direct DC Electricity Production: Designed for applications like hydrogen production and battery storage, the SHD eliminates the need for costly AC-to-DC rectifiers, reducing both capital and operational costs.

Ground-Level Generator Placement: By relocating the generator to the base of the turbine, maintenance becomes safer, faster, and more cost-effective.

Multi-Turbine Generator Integration: Multiple turbines can connect to a single generator, drastically reducing infrastructure costs compared to traditional systems.

The SHD system not only improves energy capture and efficiency but also provides the flexibility to power various devices directly, such as irrigation systems and gas compressors, making it ideal for off-grid and industrial applications.

BREAKTHROUGH ELECTROLYSER TECHNOLOGY

HFI Energy Systems is leading the way in hydrogen production with our proprietary Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyser (AEMWE), a game-changing technology designed for efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

WHY HFI IS A LEADER IN ELECTROLYSER TECHNOLOGY?

Pioneering Innovation: Our AEMWE technology sets a new standard for hydrogen production, addressing the scalability challenges of traditional systems.

Scalability: HFI's AEMWE design ensures mass production is economically viable, supporting global efforts to reach Net-Zero targets.

Cost-Effectiveness: At approximately $800 per kilowatt, our electrolyser is 50% cheaper than most PEM systems, offering a competitive advantage.

EXPLORING HYDROGEN

Our website is more than just a platform for showcasing HFI’s revolutionary technologies. It is also an educational resource for understanding hydrogen, its potential, production methods, and role in a sustainable future.

The website explains the facts behind Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), the different uses of hydrogen and why there are different colours.
